Music is of course a universal language! In our days of audio post production we dealt with not only English speaking (singing) artists but those from many other parts of the world, including work for some Korean, Indian (damn, they know how to knock out a decent Hi NRG/Trance dance song) East European and Polish artists to name a few.
It's not always about the lyrics (I for one do not understand the Polish language) but the production techniques and styles of music are of most interest to me. This is a really well put together album, very "Western" in style and use of instruments, including REAL guitar work by Skawiński and Tkaczyk's slapping da bass. The band actually were formed as a rock band by Sławomir Łosowski (on the front cover (right side) he is the one who is "hair challenged") but the band moved (progressed?) towards a synth pop style. They were not just a bunch of locals either, they toured USA a number of times in the late 90's to early 2000's
If you understand Polish, even better!
So, spin this album and ... teraz wstań na parkiecie (get up on the dance floor)
KOMBI - Tabu
Polskie Nagrania Muza
Cat# SX 2780
1989
Polish release
Cover is in very good condition, no tears, no seam splits and very light edge wear due to handling.
New inner plastic sleeves
Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see just a couple of very light scratches or marks on either side of the vinyl. I then played the ENTIRE album, every track, and there are no issues with surface noise and just the occasional low level click or pop.
New outer protective sleeve
BE AWARE! ALL LYRICS ARE IN POLISH (Very "commercial" music though)
TRACKS: Tabu - Obcy Ląd, Nietykalni - Skamieniałe Zło, Też Chciałbym Tak, Bez Szans, Nadziei Coraz Mniej, Pamiętaj Mnie, Jak Pogodzić Dwie Strony, Tyle Dzieje Się, Matka Noc, Obiecany Raj
Just for fun (if you are into this sort of thing) translate the Polish song titles and some interest Plingish results come up - some tracks look like stock standard relationship type song titles and others, more like you would have with a Death Metal band e.g Desolate Evil - it's all fun ....
