John Sangster (passed in 1995) is a very well known Australian multi-instrumentalist, arranger and composer who was involved with many of Australia's greats in the world of jazz such as Graeme Bell And His Dixiland Band, Ray Price Quartet and Don Burrow's Quintet and so many more projects such as film music (The Australian Museum)
The insert tells all about the technical aspects of this recording, such as the use of the Cherry Pie Scully 280 mix down equipment, Nagra & Sennheiser microphone (Oh but which model?) and other Neumann, A.K.G and Sennheiser - all have a "drool rating" of 10/10, nice!

Cat# CPS-1008

Australian release
Gatefold cover is in good condition, no tears, no writing, no seam splits. It has a 4 page monochrome insert which does show signs of "foxing" (yellowing with some brown spots caused by the paper used reacting with the environment) The insert is securely in place and has not come adrift from the spine.
New inner plastic liner sleeve
Vinyl is in good condition, visually inspected carefully using a white halogen light source I can see just a couple of very light scratches/marks on each side. I then played the ENTIRE release and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pops at all EXCEPT to note that the surface noise is a little more elevated than I would normally expect. I have already given this a couple of "Monk" cleans which dramatically improved things but there is obviously still some dirt in those thar grooves, man! Another decent clean wouldn't go astray.
