Paul Whiteman was an American bandleader and orchestral director, known for his early jazz performances
Signature on the front cover is part of the graphic art - NOT PERSONALLY SIGNED! Not possible anyway, Paul Whiteman died in 1967, before this release.
Great early jazz, as my daughter said when she heard the music playing "sounds like a VERY old movie soundtrack" this style of music was used during appropriate scenes in many silent movies of this period - talkie movies didn't come onto the film scene until 1927.
I also know that some current artists use this style of music to create new contemporary sounds through the sampling of this material.

Stereo? Recordings are from an era well before stereo recording and there is no mention of whether this release is mono or stereo however while listening to all 4 sides, I am 100% confident that these are in fact mono recordings.
French release
French language & English used on the gatefold cover and original paper sleeves
Gatefold cover is in very good condition, very light grubbiness due to the plain white "newspaper" style of packaging. Includes both inner printed sleeves
New inner plastic sleeves
Vinyl is in excellent condition, inspected under a white halogen light source and I can see no significant marks on either record. I then played all four sides - no issues with surface noise - very clean playback. Curiously though, at times I can hear very low level clicks and these repeart much too fast to be from this vinyl - it is as though this recording was made from 78 record masters.
Outer protective plastic sleeve
