An abstract album release resulting from Hair The Musical which opened on Broadway in 1968.
The original lyrics/score were written by Gerome Ragni, James Rado & Galt MacDermot
These are some of the songs which had been left out of the original album and recorded a year and a half after the show opened on Broadway, also featuring some new tribal members, including Sakinah, Robin McNamara and George Tipton.
Ragni, Rado & MacDerot - disinHAIRited

Cat# LS0-1163
Matrix codes (stamped): XPRS-6471--1S A2, XPRS-6472--1S A3
A2 & A3 are etched not stamped
R is etched in the runout on both sides - this indicates the album is an RCA pressing at the Rockaway plant
1970
USA release (uncensored gatefold)
Gatefold cover is in good condition, no writing, medium edge wear from normal handling, no tears with one seam split which has been tape repaired - these seams have no fold so repair is difficult.
NOTE: This was a "deletion" as denoted by the diagonal cut across the lower right-hand corner. This does NOT indicate there is anything wrong with the vinyl but it sometimes happened that the record label sales were not as expected and an issue was "deleted" from sale. Most often a diagonal cut across one corner is used but I have also seen deletions with a hole right through the centre label!
Deletions are actually a good thing these days as they can be very hard releases to find and the music was just not "right for the time"
New plastic inner sleeve
Vinyl is in good condition, inspected under a white halogen light source and I can see a few light scratches on each side. I then played this album entirely and there are a couple of issues noticed ...
Side A track 6 - very short mistrack during a spoken word
The remainder of this side has absolutely no significant issues with surface noise or click/pops.
Side B track 6 - very short mistrack towards the end of this track
Side B track 8 - very short mistrack during a spoken word
New outer protective sleeve
