1963 - to be determined
Debut album release from W & G Records, Melbourne based company that ceased operations in the 1970's
I believe this is the 2nd "run" of the album, the evidence of this 2nd "run" is that Keith was not permitted to appear on the cover of the first release as he worked for the ABC, 2nd jobs (The Seekers) were not permitted.
In the first cover release, it is in fact Ken who appears on the cover instead of Keith (Ken was a member prior to Judith joining in 1963)
I have carefully researched the character in the cover photograph to the left of Judith and this is definitely Keith - the issues with ABC did get sorted out shortly after the first album release.
Cover has two colour print, black/grey and spot red. It has seen some obvious water damage with graphic damage to the front and rear of the cover. The blue W & G record label on both sides has also been affected by a liquid at some stage.
That said, the seams are all sound. No tears but there is a previous owners name written in black felt pen on the rear of the cover (bottom right edge)
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good - very good condition. Visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can only see a couple of light marks/scratches on each side. Just looking at vinyl is not a good way to judge the condition so I then played both sides of this album ENTIRELY, every single track, and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pops - Nice play, particularly the vocals of Judith Durham - Wow!
