Mike Nesmith (passed away 2021) was a musician, songwriter, actor, producer, and novelist. Many may remember him as one of The Monkeys (Comedy TV show 1966 ~ 1968) and many considered at the time that he was the only "real" muso amongst the four Monkeys. But Michael was far more than a "Monkey", he wrote performed both in bands and as a solo artist (Country rock, classic rock), the founder of the company Pacific Arts which were instrumental in the birth of the music video industry, he won a Grammy award for his video work and was also executive producer in the film, Repo Man.
This album is an excellent trip back in time with Michael performing solo live at the Palais (Melbourne) here in Australia to a very enthusiastic audience.
This recording is of a single concert (not a compilation of concerts as is often the case) although according to the notes on the rear cover, some "repairs" were made to some tracks as they didn't meet Michael's standards. Recording facilities were provided by Armstrong Audio Video P/L Melbourne.
Michael plays rhythm guitar and of course, vocals
The members of the support band on this album were:
David McKay - Bass guitar
Al Perkins - Lead guitar (also album mixing)
James Trumbo - Keyboards
John Ware - Drums
Michael Nesmith - Live At The Palais (Melbourne)

Australian release
Cover is in good condition, no tears, no writing, no seam splits but there is light "rubbing wear" to the front and rear of the cover with a light vinyl ring becoming apparent on the front in particular.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see only a couple of very light scratches/marks on each side. I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track, and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pops.
New outer protective sleeve
Tracks: Grand Ennui, Calico Girlfriend, Propinquity (I've Just Begun To Care), Joanne, Roll With The Flow, Some Of Shelly's Blues, Silver Moon, ***, Nadine Is It
You
*** At this point the Melbourne crowd goes ape, LOTS of screaming and shouting and eventually Michael comes back on stage for a lively encore!
This album really reminds me of what it was like to be at a live concert and enjoy yourself (pre-Covid)
