Back in the late 1950's, early 1960's Johnny and the Hurricanes were THE American band to listen and dance to! Music styles were rapidly changing and music such as this was soooo different (at the time) and they had droves of teenagers demanding their music.
They also were popular in Europe, specifically Hamburg at often played at the Star-Club where the opening act was The Beatles, before they found commercial success.
Johnny and the Hurricanes had a distinctive sound, through their use of sax and organ especially but also notable on many songs is Dave's guitar
Members were:
Johnny Paris - saxophonist
Paul Tesluk - Hammond chord organ
Dave Yorko - lead guitar
Lionel "Butch" Mattice - bass
Bill "Little Bo" Savich - drums
Johnny And The Hurricanes - Red River Rock
Axis - EMI Records

Cover is in very good condition, no seam splits, no tears and very light edge wear from normal handling.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good condition, inspected under a white halogen light source I can see just a couple of very light scratches/scuff marks on each side. I then played both sides entirely and at times I could hear a slightly elevated level of surface noise but still a very good play with no significant click/pops.
New outer protective plastic sleeve
