This was the 3rd film from Gilliam in his Trilogy Of Imagination, the previous two being Time Bandits and Brazil.
The Adventures Of Baron Munchausen is an adventure fantasy.
While not a "box office hit" by any stretch of the imagination, this film (Co-written and directed by Terry Gilliam and starring John Neville, Sarah Polley, Eric Idle, Jonathan Pryce, Oliver Reed, and Uma Thurman) was nominated for four Academy Awards.
The cover art on the album is instantly recogniseable as typical the "Monty Pythonese" style
This album is the sound track of the film, the majority of which was composed & conducted by Michael Kamen but Eric Idle (who played Berthold/Desmond) is credited with composing the three tracks under the sub-section The Sultan (Side A Track 2)
The music is classical, no dialogue and played by British based National Philharmonic Orchestra

Vinyl is in good condition, visually inspected under a white halogen light source and I can only see a couple of very light scratches/marks on each side. Just taking a look at the vinyl is not a good way to judge how it will sound so I then played the compilation album ENTIRELY, every single track, and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pops, if anything, Side B track 1 has a slightly increased surface noise level to being with but this is made more noticeable by the low audio level of the orchestral music at this time.
