Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

Very early blues recordings.

These recordings are mono and have not been enhanced in any way.

It is noted on the rear cover about the care taken to faithfully transfer the original recordings from shellac/vinyl via tape running at 15 ips

Dolby has been used to reduce noise to the lowest level possible

All that said, these recordings on the vinyl are pretty "rough" - meaning authentic. If you want to hear this music "scrubbed up", in pseudo stereo, remastered and compressed all to hell, then you would not like this vinyl BUT it is only through analog vinyl recordings such as this that you can "feel" the music

SPECIAL NOTES REGARDING THE COVER

Back in 2015 we experienced a very bad storm, some vinyl was affected - this is one of them.

This cover has water/mildew stain damage to the opening edge of the cover - look at the photograph

All graphics are perfectly readable though

VINYL SPECIAL NOTES

Prior to inspection and playing this vinyl, it has been give a very careful and thorough professional "wet wash"

The vinyl was first visually inspected under a white halogen light source and is in good - very good condition, only a few light scratches can be seen on each side.

However just looking at the vinyl is not good enough, I then played both sides.

Recording levels are good, the audio quality is acceptable although not high quality. Surface noise is generally just slightly higher than "normal" and there are only a couple of spots with the click/pop's. It could well be that further surface noise improvement is achieveable by further cleaning (professionally)

NEVER EVER use "soap and water" to clean your vinyl, this will always leave residue in the grooves and it is very unlikely that the solution will even get way down into the bottom of the grooves.

Overall, this album is a very nice play with just slight low level surface noise during the quieter passages

A full list of support performer credits is on the rear of the cover (includes Henry Gray, Louis Miles, David Miles, Fred Below, Willie Dixon, Jarrett Gibson, John Walker etc)
