Never heard of Arlo? He is the son of Woody Guthrie and Arlo was one of the very popular artists during the mid to late 1960's, along with Donovan and Dylan - all story tellers through song. Arlo was into Protest and Social Injustice songs but he often threw some humour into his songs.
This album was one of his most well known releases, an amusing satrical bluesy sort of story which revolves around Arlo's own experiences with illegally dumped rubbish and how ludicrious the whole situation was when he was arrested and taken to court. The judge presiding was in fact blind, a true case of "blind justice" Sort of like an American version of Monty Python's Flying Circus, with Arlo in this case taking the "mickey" out of the stupid police, the judicial system and the whole craziness of the event but that's not all to the story...probably the funniest part is his subsequent story of being "drafted" for military service and how this was foiled by his illegal rubbish dumping event.
As a youth, I would listen to this album many times because anything that poked fun at the "establishment" was fair game in those days!
The tale of "Alice's Restaurant" is just the first track, 18 minutes long but the other songs on the album are also "classics" such as the Motorcycle Song

Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see NO scratches or marks on either side. I then played the album ENTIRELY, every track (Oh how the memories came flooding back!), and there are no issues with surface noise or click pops at all.
