The title seems a bit back-to-front and it should be more like "The World - Meet Jazz"
This is a double album compilation presenting jazz music from various countries and a mix of styles, from more "traditional" jazz to ethnic jazz and then into the free form jazz
There are many many interesting artists performing, too many for me to list here but I have taken pictures inside the gatefold cover in an attempt to show some of the performers listed. If any of them need clarification, please ask me - happy to help!
Released on the MPS label from Germany which is well known for its focus on Jazz music

Gatefold cover is in very good condition OUTSIDE, however inside there is quite a few old mildew spots (which I have now cleaned/sterilised as best I can) but there is no writing, no tears, no seam splits and all edges of the cover show very light handling wear.
The inside cover is a very interesting read, giving a lot of detail about the various music styles and the performers of that music
New plastic inner sleeve is supplied
Both vinyl's are in very good - excellent condition, inspected under a white halogen light source and I cannot see any marks or scratches on any side EXCEPT on Side 4, last track - looks like a light scuff mark (I could not clean it away at all). But a visual inspection just doesn't tell the full story, so I then played all sides of this release entirely and there are no significant issues with surface noise or clicks/pops, this includes the light scuff mark on Side 4, I could hear nothing out of the ordinary in the area of this scuff. If I was to make any comment about the surface noise it would be Record 2, Side 4 - the first track is VERY quiet to begin with and I can hear low level surface noise here. I have given this record in particular, a double clean treatment with the VPI and this has improved the S/N ratio but I still feel further cleaning of this record in particular may be beneficial.
The music is varied and interesting, some VERY traditional ethnic, others quite bizzare and loaded with improvisation. A really interesting album and it may well give the listener a taste for more ... "yes, I want more of that sound"
Supplied in new outer protective plastic sleeve
The following artists/songs are not an exhaustive list of the performers on this recording, many more interesting performers were involved in producing this music and they are all credited on the album cover (inside)
