Don't let the "Orchestra" part of the group's name put you off or for that matter, the first word - this is not Indian music (as interesting as that also is) ... this is a very different album of experimental jazz-rock fusion, freestyle music. I used to have this in the quadraphonic version, absolutely outstanding (with a Quad system) but that copy has long since found a new owner.

Musicians are:

Rick Laird - Bass

Jan Hammer - Keyboards, Moog Synth

John McLaughlin - Guitar

Jerry Goodman - Violin

Billy Cobham - Percussion

All compositions by John McLaughlin (founder of the group), a very accomplished guitarist who has played with many, many well known artists including David Bowie and Miles Davis

For those who are interested, that guitar he is pictured with on the rear cover was his instrument of choice at the time, the double neck instrument is called the Double Rainbow and was made by Rex Bogue

Australian release

Cover is in very good condition, no tears, no seam splits and no writing on the cover at all. There is one small, light "mark" to the White rear cover.

New inner plastic sleeve

Vinyl is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see NO scratches or marks on either side. I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track, and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pop events at all - just an occasional low audio level click of very short duration (1~2 revolutions) and nothing more - a very nice clean playback of this REALLY interesting jazz fusion.

TRACKS: Birds Of Fire, Miles Beyond, Celestial Terrestrial Commuters, Sapphire Bullet Of Pure Love, Thousand Island Park, Hope, One Word, Sanctuary, Open Country Joy, Resolution
