Yi Yi Yi!
More non-Western music to expand the musical experience!
Music is my life, ALL music so I had a library of most musical recordings ranging across classical, the various Westernised music and traditional music from far flung lands ... this is an album of the latter...
Extensive notes on the rear of the cover, providing details of the recordings, the different rhythms, the meaning of some songs and a bio of Sonar Senghor. I wouldn't call Sonar a "grass roots" musician, he was born into a very "well to do" family and although his family were pointing him in the direction of studying law in France and following this, practising law, Sonar preferred the arts and formed his troupe to present the songs and dance of Africa to the people of Paris. This was at great cost to him personally as his family disowned him when he defied their plans, such was his love of the performing arts and music.

Cover is in good condition, no tears, no writing, no seam splits. Edge wear is generally very light except the opening edge which has a small "nick". Some light discolouration on the opening edge from a previous liquid spill - this is not heavy damage.
New inner plastic sleeve
Vinyl is in good condition, visually inspected under a white halogen light source, I can see just a couple of very light scratches/marks on either side. I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track, and there are no significant issues with surface noise or click/pop events EXCEPT I noticed an increase in surface noise during the last couple of tracks Side 1, before the run-out area.
New outer protective plastic sleeve
