Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

THIS VINYL HAS BEEN PLAYED A LOT (it is a very good album) AND NOT WELL CARED FOR!

I am offering it because of the great music, whilst still playable it does have medium level surface noise.

USA blues acid rock trio which formed in 1966

Lots of bands with "Blue" in their name at this time (Blue Mink, Blue Oyster etc) and apparently Blue Cheer refers to the name of a popular laundry detergent at the time but more likely it also was a variety of potent LSD.

The bands manager at this time was an inactive member of Hells Angels

Stereo repress version

1968

USA release

Cover is in good (minus) condition, no seam splits, no tears, no writing but oh dear! obvious graphic damage to the front and rear from past dampness.

New inner plastic sleeve

Vinyl is in good (minus) condition, visually inspected under a white halogen light I can see lots of light scratches with some being medium and a general dullness to the surface indicating it has been played a lot, an awful lot! While it doesn't look great, often with the older vinyl this can be deceiving because of the harder vinyl used in this period. I played the ENTIRE album, every single track and yes the surface noise is of a much higher level than normal but the wonderful acid rock overcomes all and buries the noise most of the time! Even with this increased background noise level, the music is fantastic! Well worth a listen....

By the way, there are NO mistracking events at all! Just noise.

NOTE: A funny thing about this recording, it "sounds" mono, although it is supposed to be the stereo release and the mix doesn't sound right (maybe it never was) with the bass guitar often drowning out the very acidy lead guitar playing.

New outer protective sleeve

Tracks: Summertime Blues, Rock Me Baby, Doctor Please, Out Of Focus, Parchment Farm, Second Time Around
