Clamshell is in very good condition, this is a sealed clamshell so there is a no chance of properly re-lubricating if this ever became necessary (ever tried opening a clamshell with plastic welding? don't waste your time!)
Clamshell is black. Clamshell has been thoroughly cleaned and there is no writing.
All text is gold print onto a plastic clamshell label
Card insert is in good condition (not damaged)
Case is in very good condition, clean and clear
Test cassette machine: Nakamichi DR8
Prior to testing, tape was repacked (FF - RW - FF - RW) to ensure even tape loading. This is vital for cassette tapes that have been unplayed for considerable periods of time.
Tape media is in very good visual condition.
Guides/rollers and front pressure pad all look to be fine.
The only real way to judge the condition of magnetic tape media is to actually play it, so I have played both sides of this tape ENTIRELY.
Audio is full range and bright all of the time, plenty of high end and lows. No drop outs. No tape sticking or other transport issues which could indicate dried out lubricant.
Tracks: Mirror Mirror (Extended), Poems by Neil - Tree Michelle & My Dog, Yobbo/Hippy, People Of Earth, Ms America, Cooking In The Kitchen, Sorry/Lost Bums, I'm So Lonely
A cassette must be played on a decent cassette playback machine for the listener to achieve the best possible audio result (a pro machine such as a Studer or Tascam or a Nakamichi - throw away your dodgy Sanyo!) this cassette sounds damn fine on the DR8
