Flying Nun Record Label Memorabilia
Go way back in time, back to 1996.
Flying Nun Records are 15 years old and to celebrate this special event the label organised and promoted a number of events, concerts and promotions in Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland
Part of the advertising paraphernalia was this newsletter I am offering.
I have no idea of it's $$$ value (if any) but surely an ardent NZ music historian or collector may like to have this in their collection.
Nunfest 96 - newsletter
300mm x 160mm
Paper stock (weight is unknown but it "feels like something between 80gsm and 100gsm)
Two colour print
Unfolds to 8 panels
Most of the panels promote bands involved in the Nunfest and their "latest" releases, such as Martin Phillipps & The Chills, Bailterspace, Garageland, Snapper, Pell Mell, Able Tasmans, Drill, High Dependency Unit's, Seven Inches, Alec Bathgate, Rik Starr, Heazlewood, Rainy Days, Spacious
Talks also about the label's promotions via television shows such as Shortland Street and a special release of beer and vodka in recognition of Flying Nun's achievements in the music industry.
Finally, the rear panel lists every special event, in each city, during the Nunfest
Condition is very good, light markings (crystalline white "something") on the front panel only - the remaining panels are all clean
NOTE: the paper is NOT yellowish as depicted in the photographs, that effect is caused by poor sunlight today and a bad photographer!
