HISTORY:
Our audio post production facilities have now closed down, I am supposedly "retired" Hmmmm...
Now it is time to "clean up" all the leftover bits and pieces from our production facilities, manufacturing (audio equipment) and miscellaneous music related items - today I opened up a box containing a motley collection (not Crue) of guitar related bits & pieces
These tuning machines (pegs) were in that box
While unbranded, they seem to be of "reasonable" quality and perhaps someone can make use of them
Here are the details ...
GENERIC GUITAR TUNING MACHINE - Set Of Six
3x Left 3x Right
Open Gear
NON Locking
Materials: Brass/Steel worm drive and shaft but the Chrome plated knob is non-ferrous
Philips head screw to adjust the "tightness" of the gear drive and if fully loosened, the tuning machine can be dismantled and cleaned.
NOTE: If you over-tighten this screw, the gearing will not work as the shaft will be effectively "fixed" and not able to be rotated - a happy medium needs to be found where the shaft rotates but is not "sloppy"
Estimated gear ratio of 15:1
NO branding on any part of these components
12x tiny mounting screws are included
DIMENSIONS (Basic):
KNOB: 21.45mm wide x 7.25mm thickness (curved top edge and sloping sides)
SHAFT: 5.9mm diameter x 27mm length (of course an eyelet at the top end for your string!)
MOUNTING PLATE: 2x screw mounting, offset from each other (see the photograph) 25.5mm diagonal hole to hole and gearing depth is 9mm
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Unused
CLEAN
I found these loose in the "Guitar bits & pieces" storage box so I can see a couple of very light "rub or scratch marks" to a couple of knobs. I have now individually sealed in little packets each component to prevent this happening again.
