Madness had a period where they played low key concerts under the name The Dangermen. Madness would play small gigs under the alias of The Dangermen, doing covers in their reggae/ska style.
This album is a collection of their covers during this period.
A lot of effort was put into producing an original high quality analog source recording with the original recordings made to a wonderful Ampex 300-C tape machine. Microphones used were Telefunken U-47M and transfer from tape to disc was made using a Scully lathe. No mention is made of the equipment used to move out of the analog domain to digital for the CD production.
