If you haven't heard of soundscapes, think of pictures created in the mind of the listener through the use of music - drawing/painting images through sound.
Soundscapes are when sound (music and sound recordings) are used to create the atmosphere of a story being told. These sounds can be background noises, sound effects, or musical instruments.
This is a very interesting world of music, I remember we worked with a soundscape artist who recorded hours and hours of crackling fires, snails moving and bonking (yes, snails moving & bonking - sometimes it was pretty bizzare!) then the various sound effects are combined to create a musical picture for the listener.
But don't let that scare you off, this particular compilation of soundscapes is more in the "mainstream", opening with some beautiful bird song (Pied Butcher birds) and then followed by more traditional soundscape creations based on vocalists, string instruments etc
This is VERY listenable music, very relaxing as the listener is taken on a journey of audio adventure, go with the flow while you listen to this wonderful compilation from various Australian soundscape artists.

CD case, front cover and rear insert are all in very good condition.
CD media is in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see just one very very light mark or scratch near the outer edge of the data area. Just to be sure, I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track, and all is fine - no problems at all.
