This is the legendary Moby Grape/The Melvilles which due to legal disputes with their former manager, they couldn't use the 'real' band name. Lots of legal challenges for this amazing psychedelic/blues rock band of the 1960's ~ 1970's
This album is mainly the recordings made as The Melvilles (due to these legal issues) back in 1990, originally on cassette and a few extra tracks which were previously unreleased (tracks 12 ~ 18)
Particularly in the 1960's this was the heyday of legends such as Buffalo Springfield, Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) and many others...those were the days!
This CD release acknowledges the memory of Alexander 'Skip' Spence (co-founder and guitarist) who passed away in 1999. He was quite a 'different' character, dealing with mental illness, drug addiction and alcoholism. Read more about his troubled life HERE

CD case, front cover and rear insert are all in very good condition. The packaging has the appearance similar to the 'Industry Only Demo Release' but there is no printing on the CD face to indicate this. The front cover art is slightly different to the commercial DIG 108 release though.
CD media is good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see a couple of light scratches near the edge of the outer data area only. I then played the ENTIRE release, every song, and there are NO issues with playback on any track
