Pan.American (Mark Nelson) - The River Made No Sound
Kranky
Cat# KRANK 051
2002
USA release
CD digipak is in good (minus) condition, this means it is in sound condition, it has seen quite a bit of handling that has worn some of the graphics in places.
CD is in fair condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see a number of very light/light circular scratches/marks across all sections of the data area! This CD was played A LOT by our sound engineers and not care for too well, in fact it looks to me as though the CD player used had a problem too! I wasn't expecting good results but I then played the CD release ENTIRELY, every single track, and there are NO issues with any track - NO SKIPPING, NO REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT or missed beats - plays very nicely!
My test CD machines were my classic Tascam 601 MkII (Broadcast) and a nice consumer grade Denon player - both played the CD as described above.
Tracks: Plains, For A Running Dog, Settled, Place Names, Redline, Raised Walk, St. Cloud, 2-Sided, Right Of Return
