Another very difficult to find analog cassette tape release from Richard Pleasance (very early Boom Crash Opera days/solo works)
RICHARD PLEASANCE - Sarah (I Miss You)
East West Records
Cat# 903174367-4
Australian release
1991
Cardboard sleeve packaging is in very good condition, no marks, no writing and not crumpled and no seam splits. Very clean.
Before playing I repacked the tape, and visually inspected carefully the clamshell, rollers and head pressure pad - no issues with the shell or tape at all
This is a plastic welded type clamshell so if ever it was required to "get inside" to relube, etc then the best of luck because getting this type of clamshell is extremely difficult and usually you will end up destroying the tape.
I have then played this tape entirely, crisp clean sound and no problems at all with no "drop outs" in any section (both sides) or high frequency loss heard.
XDR has been used in the production of this cassette tape, to achieve a greater dynamic range.
This recording has also been Dolby B encoded (noise reduction) and if your tape machine does not have Dolby capability, it could be useful to wind down the Treble on your amplifier slightly.
Side A is repeated on Side B
TRACKS: Sarah (I Miss You), Americans Love Television, St. Valentines Day (Home recording by Richard)
