Well, what can you say? Candy Harlots were an extremely well known sleaze rock band who had a great "full on" stage presence which sometimes created a bit of trouble at their gigs but these guys pumped out hard/glam rock like no other Australian band.

This limited release cassette has 4 demo's and it was released as a promotional product in conjunction with the Australian music magazine, Hot Metal and as a "teaser" to their debut album "Five Wicked Ways" released in 1992.

This demo EP was released in 1991, just 4 years after they formed in Sydney

They played live gigs extensively and were support acts to many international acts such as The CultCheap TrickDivinylsThe AngelsThe SunnyboysD-A-D, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Kings of the Sun and many others...

Members at this time (1991) were:

Tony 'Aiz' Lynch - Lead vocals

(Mark Easton was the lead vocalist until 1990-91 and Tony replaced Mark on lead vocals in the same period, also adding his song writing skills to the band which impressed Virgin Records and gained the band a major recording contract. So there was a "cross over" period here when the lead vocals changed but I am pretty sure Tony was at the helm when these demo's were recorded)

Phil Bowley - Lead guitar

Peter Masi - Rhythm guitar

Leeno Dee - Bass Guitar

Tony Cardinal - Drums (ex-What??!!, Soggy Porridge)

Cassette packaging is in very good condition, front pad, side rollers all fine. This is a welded shell so if something ever went awry with the tape inside, best of luck! These welded are impossible to open without destroying the shell.

Test machine, my favourite the Nakamichi 480

Before playing, I have repacked the tape, and played both sides entirely - no issues with the shell or tape at all, no "drop outs" or high frequency loss across all songs.

Tape media is in very good condition - I have played this tape entirely and in my opinion the audio is full range with plenty of low end and highs. Nice recording actually!

Tracks: Lady Shakes, Backstreet Boys, Wildest Way, Cheat On Me
