MANFRED MANN - The Big Hits Of Manfred Mann
Music For Pleasure - EMI Records
Cat# MFP 1M 228 - 05 284

Most likely this release was made around 1972 - vinyl releases of exactly the same compilation were released in 1972, the album title was 'The Greatest' though
NOT Dolby encoded
Stereo although it sounds as though the recordings are originals, no remastering or audio enhancement.
European release (cassette label states Made by EMI, Made in EEC)
Fire engine RED cassette clamshell is in very good condition as is the inner printed insert. No writing and the paper insert is only lightly creased, no marks and clean.
Before playing I repacked the tape, and visually inspected carefully the clamshell, rollers and head pressure pad - no issues with the shell or tape at all
This is fire engine RED clamshell is plastic welded so if ever it was required to "get inside" to relube, etc then this is next to impossible to achieve and most likely will result in destruction of the shell.
I have then played this tape entirely, clean sound and no problems with "drop outs" (on either side) or high frequency loss heard. The audio is pretty well what I would expect from "raw" 1960's recordings, it has not been "cleaned up" sonically.
