Double cassette packaging is in good condition, barely any handling marks to the cassette case although there is one small, short crack to the front edge - nothing serious. No personal writing on either the case or cassette clamshells. Clean insert and the Black cassette labelling directly pad printed onto the clear cassette clamshell. One thing you may notice, the lower right hand corner of the insert has a diagonal cut across it - this is a "deletion mark" meaning that the product was withdrawn from sale under instructions from the distributor and/or label. This does NOT indicate faulty product but simply a product "recall"
Before playing I repacked the tapes, and visually inspected carefully the clamshells, rollers and head pressure pads - no issues with the shells, pads or tapes at all
This is a clear plastic welded type clamshell so if ever it was required to "get inside" to relube, etc then personally I would forget it! Trying to open such a case often ends up in tears, in other words you probably will destroy the clamshell!
I have then played both tapes entirely and I was greeted with crisp clean sound and no problems at all with no "drop outs" (on either side) or high frequency loss heard on both tapes. Frequency response off the tapes is wide and I also listened carefully for "tape hiss" at the start of tape, end of tape and between tracks and the level is very very low, indicating that the tape has seen very low "play hours" in the past.
