Lemon Yellow clam shell is in very good condition, this is a screwed clam shell so if ever there was a need to re-lubricate or change the pad, it is possible (if somewhat fiddly). Simple mono printed card insert is in very good condition, this gives some bio of the bands and lyrics to their songs. The shell is labelled only on one side (Side B) as simply STUPID, Side A has no labelling.
Test cassette machine: Nakamichi DR8
Prior to testing, tape was repacked (FF - RW - FF - RW) to ensure even tape loading. This is vital for cassette tapes that have been unplayed for considerable periods of time.
Tape media is in very good visual condition, but the only real way to judge the condition of magnetic tape media is to actually play it, so I have played both sides of this tape, ENTIRELY.
Audio is full range and bright, full high end and lows. Sounds great. No drop outs BUT I did notice that some of the live recordings are pretty 'rough and ready" - I checked and it is not the tape at issue but the original source recordings are just pretty poor quality.
No tape sticking or other transport issues which could indicate dried out lubricant. Head pad is in place and secure.
