The Rolling Stones - The First Twenty Years
David Dalton
1981
Soft Cover
Large format (310mm x 270mm x 20mm thick)
190 pages
An old book with a large amount of first person writing and photographs.
Starting off with comments, some childhood history from their Mums and then a lot of dialogue from each of the Stones on their views on life.
Really interesting reading, and a lot of it is not the sanitised stuff that is released in contemporary books.
Examples are Patti Smith's love affair with the boys, Keith talking about magic, his guitar and drugs, reminiscences of Brian Jones and so much more....
This book deals with the psyche of the band
Although almost 50 years old, it is in very good condition but it will need to be handled carefully.
Light partial un-glueing of the spine
No tears, no missing pages
Even has a guitar blue-print, this has creasing to the edges where it was not folded back into the book correctly some time in the past.
No written names/messages in the book
Stored on a stiff cardboard "bed" and sealed within plastic to preserve it's condition
