Kylie Minogue Memorabilia
Kylie Minogue Promotional portfolio
This is a mix of various items relating to Kylie Minogue, the contents are:
1: 8" x 10" colour photograph - sourced from International Fanclub Services, Australia (Kaydeebee P/L)
Photograph is in very good condition, 2 white spots/graphic damage to the right side
2: Late 80's postcard signed by Kylie (printed, not handwritten) - Kaydeebee P/L 1988 Printed in England
3: Another picture card, stand up style in mono - generic message (not addressed to a particular person) inside which is general in nature and relates to end of the year/Christmas greetings. Written and signed by Kylie but we are pretty sure this is printed, not handwritten.
No printing on the card to indicate where it came from (Fan Club etc) - completely blank
4: A4 sheet of trivia about Kylie, did you know her favourite drink is water? She loves to cook with garlic?
This sheet is not credited and actually we suspect it is a photocopy of another published article.
5: 6" x 10" plain paper stapled "booklet" which is full of trivial facts about Kylie, a chronology which is EXTREMELY detailed and ends at February 1992. Comprises 14 pages of information staple bound. In it's entirety it covers the period from 1980 (Skyways) through to February 1992 but the detail is very interesting. not just what and where she performed or who she performed with but it mentions those around her and who supported her through the early years.
Examples:
(1989) On the 28th May Kylie turned 21. She celebrated her coming of age at a private party in Melbourne plagued by paprazzi
(1990) In April Kylie begins rehearsals for her "Enjoy Yourself" tour of the UK, Europe and South East Asia. The tour kicks off in Birmingham where Kylie plays to a full house of 12,700 screaming fans and continues to play to capacity crowds in London, Belfast and Dublin. In May, Kylie performs her own arrangement of the classic Beatles song Help at the John Lennon Tribute held in Liverpool on the banks of the Mersey River to a crowd of well over 20,000. Natalie Cole, Lenny Kravitz and Terrence D'Arby were amongst those backstage to come up to Kylie and congratulate her on her performance.
We strongly suspect this last item in particular was part of a Kylie Minogue "Press Kit" sent to industry media to provide background information they may wish to use.
