NEW Old stock
Ex my personal workshop spare parts, dating back to the 1980's I think and pretty tough to find these days ...
It is a circular 9 pin socket, the same outline as a 9 pin valve base. Solder tags and screw on rear with a large hole for cable entry.
These were used primarily for two purposes, multi-conductor equipment interconnections or we used to make up "valve socket extenders" for difficult to reach spots on an amplifier chassis when trying different input valves to achieve that "sweet" sound. Once a valve was chosen, remove the extender and pop the valve directly into the valve socket - nice!
Not included, but available separately, is a mating 9 pin line plug - take a look HERE
TOYA (JAPAN) is stamped into the rear screw on section of the body and on the rear of the front section, where the solder tags are located. Try as I might, I cannot find out any worthwhile current information about TOYA, they seem to have vanished in the world of connector manufacturers.
