The post 1928 Carreras cigarette factory (the "new" Arcadia Works) is still standing to this day, although no longer a tobacco company premises. The building is very art deco although in reality it is of Egyptian style architecture.
It is most likely that this cigarette tin dates from around the late 1930's ~ 1940's although I have no proof of this other than the fact that the Craven "A" cigarettes were very popular in this period, particularly with soldiers serving in WWII.
So very dated marketing messaging used!
Inside the top lid it reads...
WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR THROAT
Tell that to the poor souls who have had a tracheostomy procedure!
