Retro spot light intended for use with the disco ball mount with motor and lead that I have advertised separately HERE
Remember the day? Walk into a hall (this was way before the club scene as it is today) and up on the ceiling is those balls made of many segments of glass mirrors upon which a spotlight was focused, the effect? Lots of little splashes of light rotating all around the room (Saturday Night Fever)
Fantastic for a great retro party!!

NOTES ON THE USE OF THIS SPOTLIGHT
Designed for domestic/small room use! Be realistic here, this is not a professional stage spotlight. Never was and never will be BUT it will provide good spot lighting for your mirror ball or similar lighting effects. As an example, we only used this in our double garage and on the back verandah - the effects were really effective but if you think this can be used to effectively light up a medium/large auditorium, this spotlight is NOT for you.
The lighting angle is 38 degrees, set by the type of lamps being used.
The spotlight is 'dumb' - that means you cannot control or talk to it via DMX for example! You turn it on, it lights up and that's it.
TESTING:
Like the mirror ball motor advertised separately, it's been a long time since we had a 'retro party' and this spotlight has been sitting in the spare room for yonks.
Plugged it in and I am greeted by a nice bright Green spotlight - nice!
I also checked the other colours (supplied with this unit), they are all working too.
How do you change the lamp? It's easy, 2x screws on the side of metal casing allow the case to 'open up' and you simply pull/remove the existing lamp and plug in whatever colour you choose. Close the case, put the 2x screws back in and you are in business!
The mount has a thumb screw on each side, adjust to the position you want and tighten - the spotlight will stay fixed in this position.
The hole used to mount the spotlight onto a wall (high up out of reach) or a ceiling is 10mm diameter, plenty big enough for most bolts.
WORD OF WARNING!
Quartz Halogen lamps are a "hot light' meaning that the glass front of the lamp gets VERY HOT. Do not place the spotlight in easy reach of straying fingers.
