This electric jug cord is intended for use ONLY with domestic electric jugs.
It does have complete earth wiring so it can also be used with the later model electric kettles with a sealed element.
The earlier porcelain based jugs had no provision for earthing at all, so the grounded springs top and bottom serve no purpose when used with the old porcelain electric jugs.

CONDITION:
In extremely good, clean condition
No damage to either the plug or socket and most importantly, no fraying of the cloth cord.
TESTING:
Used to test the two porcelain electric jugs I have on offer, really just for the sake of throughness - it is not a good idea to be using those porcelain jugs these days and in fact it seems to me that they may not meet current Australian Electrical Safety Standards.
Once testing was completed, I have placed the cord into sealed plastic to keep out moisture and dirt/dust.
