HISTORY:
Ex our R&D section, our electronic design and manufacturing business has now closed down (retired) and all the remaining stock and "bits & pieces" must find new owners
Sustainability is the name of the game and whenever I have components that have been used but are tested as fully functional, I try to reuse them or find someone who can ... these Red leds with PCB standoff come into this category.
These LED's have been removed from a prototype front panel display PCB. The LED's were mounted vertically onto the PCB, supported by plastic standoff's, and the LED's sat behind a Red front panel filter - the status sub-board was designed to indicate equipment functions to the user, particularly in low light conditions.
Unfortunately this is another LED product which I cannot accurately identify, this prototype board was put together a LONG time ago!
LIGHT EMITTING DIODE
Part # Unknown
5mm diameter
Light Colour: RED
I would describe the Red emitted as being "bright and quite intense" not a dull Red
Lens: Red Clear
Intensity: specifications are unknown but tested and as a rough guide, I would rate the intensity as "average" and in the range of 100 ~ 150mcd
Vf = usually in the range 2.2V ~ 2.5V
Viewing angle is unknown but roughly estimated at 45 degrees (personal observation)
DIMENSIONS:
Body (Red): 5mm diameter x 9mm
14.5mm leg length, through hole, and they have been cleanly desoldered
Pink standoff sleeve: 11.65mm length x 5mm diameter x 0.75mm wall thickness
This plastic standoff sleeve is rigid and not flexible at all
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO body damage
Legs have been cleanly desoldered from the PCB and although most pairs of legs are of the same length, the cathode is indicated on the LED body by a flat spot.
Supplied in sealed clear plastic packets
This is not an ongoing supply, once these LED's with standoffs are gone .... there will be no more
If the photograph shows multiple LED's, I am offering in the advertisement ONE LED, not all of them for this price!
