This backstamp was in use from 1955 onwards, we have always considered this to be from around the 1970's though.

Bright white smooth porcelain with a high lustre
Opaque, meaning that if it is held to the light you cannot see shadows of your hand through the material
Transferware - not hand painted
"Swirl texture" to the base porcelain topside
Heavy Gold gilding to the scalloped rim of the plate
The design name is not indicated but we have always referred to this teaset as the "Yellow Pansies" - two areas of artwork with one being much larger than the other.

CLEAN
Very Good condition (but not perfect)
NO cracks
NO discolouration to the base White or the decorations
NO crazing
Gold gilding (heavily applied) is 99% - in one tiny spot (approximately 0.75mm length) the gilding is simply not there! Not rubbed off due to use or cleaning, it is just missing. This is extremely small but the flaw is there none-the-less
