TOSHIBA Satellite 1800 Series Laptop

Service Issue: MULTIPLE - No hard drive, possible motherboard issues - No POST at all!
NO servicing has been undertaken ALTHOUGH someone has looked inside this laptop - two base screws are missing.
NO major components have been removed
Battery Toshiba PA3107U-1BAS (10.8V 4500mAh) - Battery test charged although it probably is not drawing much current with so many things not working on this laptop. Charge successful (Green led) and then left the laptop running for 2 hours - still fine. So this battery has at least SOME life left in it.
Installed memory: None - 2 slots, both are empty
CPU is unknown
Installed hard drive: No hard drive is fitted (slot is empty and the cover is missing)
Installed DVD drive
Keyboard: good condition
LCD display (14 inch) good physical condition
Touchpad Unable to confirm function
Audio unable to confirm function
Floppy Drive: unknown condition

Fails to load the BIOS - total silence, no beeps, no display.
Power On indicates, shut down from the Power button is fine
LCD Screen shows nothing - external display is the same
NO External power supply is supplied (tested using a 15V 5A power unit)
