Compaq Presario 2100 Series Laptop
Model: 2133AC

NO servicing has been undertaken
NO major components have been removed
Battery HP f4809a/f4812a (14.8V 4400mAh) - Charging attempted over 2 days, there is no life in this battery at all now.
Installed memory: 768Mb DDR (1x 512Mb 333Mhz Kingston 9905064-024.A00LF & 1x 256Mb 266Mhz Hynix HYMD232M646A6-H) - strange mix of memory modules
CPU AMD Athlon XP2400+ 512Mhz
Installed hard drive: Seagate ST96812A 60Gb
Installed CD drive: Sony CDRW CRX830E Test read of a data CD is fine
Installed WiFi card: Ambit T60H424 - there may be issues with this card, it doesn't appear to "see" networks (although it says it can see networks to connect to) so if WiFi interests you, some troubleshooting might be needed here.
Keyboard: good condition
LCD display (15 inch) good physical condition BUT either the display or the GPU has issues. The LCD screen has a reddish tinge (still perfectly readable though) however an external display shows a completely normal display - I suspect the LCD laptop display is damaged.
Touchpad is working fine
Audio is working fine
Floppy Drive: Test read a 1.44Mb floppy, no issues at all
Cat 5 network port
PSTN dial up telephone line port (!)
2x USB ports
Serial port
Parallel port
POST is fine, option to boot from a network - just ignore this and the laptop drops into
