COSMETIC NOTE: The front panel normally unclips from the front, this one still does but the ONE issue these older routers have is that after being in a rack for a long time, the plastic used on the front panel becomes brittle - i.e the locking pins break off and also the top of the front panel has broken however...
This front panel is firmly held in place by the locking pins BUT a strip of tape has been run along the top of the panel to keep it tightly in place.
The only control is the MODE button anyway and that is working fine.
Tested, both bootup and console throughput is fine, as are are the 1Gbps WAN ports - see the screen shot re console access.
No passwords on the console
GENERAL INFO:
I went into various menu's (break the startup sequence with the Mode button) and made sure the CLI was working correctly on all switches - information on how to do this is available online.
All photographs of the equipment are of the actual equipment, don't be fooled by some photos I see online, they are offering say a C2950T and yet the photo is of a stock standard C2950
To get the most out of these switches, the user should know some basic networking knowledge and use of the CLI to setup the switch properly although help is available for all commands when talking with the switch via the console.
This switch is not your domestic "plug it in and away you go" you need to set them up properly via the console port.
