Wall power pack (9V DC) I am not even sure we had one originally, we always used this on battery power which is so much more convenient.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Clean and unscratched
LCD front panel display is undamaged and easy to read (black characters on a greenish background)
All keys working fine
Battery compartment is clean, all contacts shiny (no corrosion!)
TESTING:
We used this in our studios quite some time ago (to fast label rack patch panel ports) and it never has given us an issue
Medium size and weight but still fine to carry around with one hand
As it has been put away, I took it out today and checked it out one last time.
ALL TESTS MADE USING THE BATTERY SUPPLY, I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO LOCATE A WALL PLUG PACK FOR THIS EQUIPMENT - WE ONLY EVER USED IT AS A PORTABLE MACHINE ANYWAY
Powers up fine.
Typed in some words to print on the supplied 9mm tape
Push PRINT and out comes the tape with nice sharp clearly defined words (see one of the photographs of my new label)
Pushed the CUT button and I had my "instant" label ready - the tape has a sticky side so you just attach it to the equipment or item you are labelling and the job is done.
Although this printer is capable of so much more, I felt this was enough to check that all is well with the machine - she's a beauty!
I have now placed the KL-780 in sealed plastic to ensure it is safe from dust/dirt and kept clean
