HISTORY:
Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything that can be reused or repurposed creates Ee savings and reduces the poisoning our our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

Not infrequently I have come across CD & DVD players which have not been treated very well and the front slide & lock front tray plate becomes broken or has even gone missing.
This tray front plate came from a Toshiba DVD player-recorder but unfortunately I did not record the model number! A slip of the mind, which occurs more and more often as the years progress ...
This Toshiba was from a distinctive Champagne Gold series, a very nice unit when it was working!
TOSHIBA - DVD Player//Recorder SPARE PART ONLY
SPARE PART ONLY
Tray Front Plate
Extracted from Model: Not Recorded (damn)
Circa early 2000's
COMPONENT: DVD tray front plate
The distinctive feature of this tray front plate is the all-over metal (Aluminium) surface which looks to have been anodised in the Champagne Gold finish. This is NOT that pseudo metallic paint spray on look but actually solid metal. Inside the front plate is moulded Black plastic with two flat fingers which slide and lock onto the tray.
Central contrasting Gold coloured logo, which says DVD VIDEO
DIMENSIONS:
Front tray plate: 157mm length x 18mm height in the centre
The plate has a slight bottom curve which means the widest point is in the centre.
Metallic topside and this measures 12.4mm thickness (front to back)
Two fingers (part of the inner plastic moulding) are 9.3mm wide each and these two fingers are spaced 61mm apart or 44.5mm from either side
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
NO substantial marks or scratches on the metallic outer "skin" - very nice
NO damage to the moulded inner Black plastic body
Rear fingers are undamaged
This DVD tray front plate is now wrapped in bubblewrap and sealed within clear plastic, very much hoping that someone will say "Hey, I know that tray front plate, come live with me!"
