LEADER OF THE THUNDERBIRDS

(Looks like whoever created the typed label on the side of the case had an issue with the H on their typewriter (remember those?) The label says LEADER OF TKE TKUNDERBIRDS

Catalogue # O8

Full Colour

Sound (Mono)

Run time: approximately 8 minutes

Released by IE International (Italy)

Content:

Major Robinson is the commanding officer of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds team. Four F-100 super sabre jets perform at speeds up to 750 mph. Aero acrobatics I think this is called.

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

CLEAN

Very good

Film stock and reel are undamaged, whoever the leader film was "crumpled" at the end, I have cut away the damaged leader and shaped it for correct feeding into the projector - all is good now

Outer all plastic case is in good condition, no cracks or pieces broken but there are some handling scuff marks to the front of the case in particular

NO names or other writing on the case

TESTING:

Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.

Film looks to be clean and in good condition, sprocket holes are not damaged.

I only ran the film for the first couple of minutes or so to observe the colour and sound.

The colour has definitely shifted towards the Red end of town still very watchable but lots of Pinks ~ Reds instead of the full colour spectrum.

Sound is good, very American (which is to be expected because of the content) - good level and not muffled

In my opinion, after this very brief test, I am happy that the film is as stated on the box (with the exception of the labelling misprint) and looks to be in reasonable "technical" condition.

Anyway, I am very fastidious and careful with these films and I have now packed it back into the original cardboard box AND sealed the film within clear plastic - waiting for a Super 8 film enthusiast to enjoy!
