HISTORY:
My "world" is 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am doing my best to establish the condition of each item that I am listing.
I tend to be quite detailed in my item descriptions, please READ all the details to decide if this item may interest you.
Now, on with the description ...
This motion picture is NOT in an original distributors packaging, but instead in a hard plastic library storage case with drop down front door.
This is definitely the 1979 release, not the 1936 original
THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME (1979) - Super 8 Film
Fletcher Films
Commercial release for the Home Movie market
This is the motion picture "Shape Of Things To Come" which visualises the very advanced for it's time SciFi book written by HG Wells back in 1914. HG Wells was a "seer" of the future with such predications as atomic motor vehicles (well, not quite there yet) and the atomic bomb - 30 years before it was created.
1979 version
Labelling information is sparse, with only a dyna-label on one side of the 8" library case and no markings at all on the generic Black reel.
Motion picture released 1979
Leader film is fitted
8" Black plastic generic reel ***
*** Note: that this is an 8 inch reel, you will need an 8" or larger takeup reel

Very good

NO damage to the library case
NO strange smells from the film e.g vinegar odour

TESTING:
Tested with the ELMO ST 1200 I have available, and away we go ....
I have around 5 minutes off the reel for testing
Leader film is attached
Colour film and this does show substantial "Red shift" but I must say that the Red is sometimes dominant and at other times much less so with Greens being visible at times however no Blues to be seen!
Sound is good, although just slightly muffled (loss of high end) but clear enough to here what is going on.
I am very fastidious and careful with these Super 8 films and I have now packed the film package within sealed, clear plastic while it awaits a new owner
