FUNCTION:
These boxes are really useful if you are using multiple analog composite video sources and need to view any ONE of these sources at a time
This equipment is very basic in function and it is not designed to provide facilities such as multi-screen or "stop on video" control
Each channel has a lever switch associated with it - and a RED LED
In the upwards switch position, that channel is removed from any sequential switching - for example, instead of running 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 but you then flipped channel 5 up, the sequence becomes 1-2-3-4-6-7-8
In the central switch position, the channel is actively able to be sequentially switched
In the lower switch position, the channel is permanently ON - all sequential switching will stop
The control to the right of the front panel is the ON-OFF button and also the auto switching speed control
The switching occurs regardless of whether there is video at the channel input i.e it is not a system that can detect video and only then enable the channel.
Suits Mono or Colour
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Excellent condition - all steel case
All LED's work
All channel toggle switches work
Power on-off control works
No damage to the casing at all
TESTING:
I ran multiple source composite video through this box (cameras and DVD players) and checked that all channels "came alive" when the RED LED was lit up.
I also checked the functions of the channel toggle control operated as designed
Speed of auto switching was also checked
No issues with this equipment at all - all tests passed
