BASIC INFORMATION:
Wide-angle footage with a focal length of 29.9mm (35mm equivalent).
Bayonet joint makes it easy and quick to mount and remove this lens from the DV Cam (we had a V1U)

Performance of the lens is as expected for an 0.8X i.e the area of view increases by about 40-50%, with a 20% increase in angle of view.
Due to the easy mounting, you can switch field angle almost instantly - fitting of the lens adds 300g to the front end of your camera.
You can attach a standard 86mm filter, allowing you to apply filters to your wide-angle shots.
Originally this lens had a hood, I am NOT supplying the hood as it did have a shutter fault.

We originally purchased this lens (along with the V1U) from Videocraft, Melbourne back in 2009 at a cost of A$700 for this lens - small change compared to the cost of the cam (around A$5K at the time!)
Optics are clean, scratch and currently dust free! Front and rear snap on covers are fitted and of course provided.
Always stored with a packet of "moisture absorbant" gel once the V1U cam found a new owner (he didn't need the conversion lens)
