Designed for a standard domestic telephone line with the convenience of cordless operation.
Built in digital answering machine with up to 14 minutes recording time.
Uses DECT 6.0 technology, it will not interfere with existing Wi-Fi networks
Special power backup system, if power fails to the base unit (and the handset is in the cradle) the handset will continue to provide emergency power to the base, allowing the phone to be used during power outages
The DECT 1635 can be used with up to 3 cordless 1635 handsets, I am offering just one handset

Suitable for POTS (plain old telephone system), NBN and ISP providers such as TPG where they also offer standard landline telephone services
Testing was made by me using our TPG service
The base unit display will indicate if the telephone line is not physically connected
Answering machine is working fine, (I have reset all messages)
Volume of the answering machine is very good and clear

I made outgoing calls with no problems
Incoming calls also were fine and caller ID operates so you can see who is calling
Installed Uniden battery seems to be still fine, charged and then left running off the charger for 4+ hours, still operating fine.
Uses a Uniden BT-694 (or equivalent) battery NiMH 2.4V 650mAh
Perfect when it is desired to have mobility when taking calls at home or in our case, it was installed at a nursing home for a relative who wanted to have a landline phone she could take around with her.
Stored in a sealed plastic bag, the battery plug has been taken out (easy to plug back in) to maintain the battery charge.
