This equipment is homebrew - that is not to mean it isn't well constructed but it is not a commercial product
Working fine although uncalibrated
Particularly suitable for educational purposes or just plain electronics "fun"
Great to view extremely small current flows, in one of the photographs you can see the audio picked up by a dynamic microphone from my birds - the microphone being directly connected to the inputs
I also played around with some ultrasonic receivers and extremely sensitive magnetic sensors
Sure you can do this sort of thing with an oscilloscope but this piece of equipment gives a great visual display of very weak currents flowing
Galvanometer
Professionally built but not a commercial product
3 Full Scale ranges: 2uA 20uA 200uA
Centre zero LED
Front panel has divisions to indicate the current measured
Even if you just feed in a low level square or sinewave, great "Sci Fi" robot eye effect - Klaatu from The Day The Earth Stood Still immediately jumped to mind when I saw this display
Anyway it is being offered for experimentation or fun more than serious test and measurement
CONDITION:
Very good overall EXCEPT the top of the case is NOT SECURED to the base! Either devise a fixing method yourself (even just tape around the casing) - there are holes for an L shaped piece of angle metal so the the top can be secured to the base with screws but these L shaped pieces are missing.
TESTING:
Fully functioning on all scales
NOT calibrated - I couldn't image anyone would bother but you could do this if it was of importance, using the internal trimmers on each scale.
