If you are working with ESD sensitive equipment or components, these are a "must have" as one part of your arsenal against the dreaded "spark in the night" causing failure of the items under test or examination. If you do not use ESD protection, it is quite feasible you will not even know that a discharge has occurred immediately, component failure can be sometime "down the track" - anyway, prevention is the name of the game.
These ESD straps/leads are part of your "personal arsenal" against the threat of static electricity damaging that delicate electronic item you are working with on the workbench.
I am clearing out masses of components and other interesting items and these ESD straps are my production line "sweepings" a mixed lot of three straps, exactly as pictured.
ALL straps are undamaged.
Slight discolouration to each end of the Light Blue strap but the actual wrist strap is clean and not discoloured - I have sterilised it, "just in case"!
