TESTING:
This is a SIP protocol device, to test it properly you must already have SIP licensing setup with your network provider (ISP)
Just connecting to your ISP will not work, you must have a SIP account
There are many forums/sites of information about using these and many features, etc are common to all SIP protocol devices anyway
I DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A SIP ACCOUNT SETUP WITH MY NETWORK PROVIDER, ALL TESTING IS MADE "LOCAL"
I have removed and reset settings I used before
So to the testing....
Powers up and goes through a bootup sequence
Successfully boots and then goes into local mode, if you have enabled the camera you can see yourself in the display
NOTE: This is NOT a high resolution screen something around 240 or 320 but sufficient for basic video communications
The device now begins looking for the SIP provider, showing "SEARCHING" on the screen
It is at this point that I cannot continue, I have no SIP account currently - it just searches and searches ad infinitum
I used to have SIP access but discontinued the service. Check with your ISP if you don't already have a SIP account, its not a hard thing to organise.
I am offering this equipment to someone who likes to "tinker" with VOIP/SIP services - particularly as you can use it for multimedia communications not just voice.
So in a nutshell, this equipment is offered for the experimenter.
