Designed specifically for military airborne use - around 26~ 28V on the anode!
UNUSED IN THE ORIGINAL BOX with lots of very old "wadding"
Designed specifically for Air-Force airborne use, note the strange heater voltage and very low design operating voltage on the anode.
These are miniature, octal devices their use being limited these days to experimental or as a museum piece, mainly because of the 26A7 design parameters.
RCA
Made in USA
Type 26A7GT
Twin beam power output
Typically 26.5V anode, 26-28V heater supply
Designed for AF output, but at only around 500mW in push pull configuration, very unlikely that someone would use these for audio work these days
Another characteristic which is pretty poor compared to other valve choices is at the full power output, typical THD is 7% at 500mW!!! The original purpose was for voice/speech and with all the aircraft environmental noise, presumably 7% distortion isn't too bad.
This device is unused and I only opened the box to take the photographs
I do have the FULL technical specifications (available should you need this data)
