HISTORY:
Removed from an "organ donor" KEPCO BOP 50-8M
These are used for the Voltage & Current control ON-OFF switches plus the REMOTE control ON function
As the KEPCO was carefully dismantled (sadly) and I am big on sustainability, I am hoping they can be "re-purposed" in other equipment or customised projects.
Personally I personally don't like these switches all that much, don't expect too much from them - particularly with regard to the ALL PLASTIC body & paddle construction
SPARE PART ONLY - NOT THE COMPLETE EQUIPMENT
Part: Paddle Switch
Type: DPDT
Mount: Snap fit into a panel
Rated for ? (unmarked body) so I would only suggest using these for low current switching, maximum 1A or so at low voltages (up to around 50V DC)
Manufacturer is unknown (unmarked on the body but considering the original equipment manufacturer, most likely USA made)
DIMENSIONS:
16.5mm Depth x 15mm Wide x 19.25mm Height
12.95mm x 15.75mm panel cut out required for the snap fit fingers
Paddle area is 9.9mm x 10.4mm x 2.75mm thick (medium size)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
Clean
Mechanical switch action is fine, no "sloppiness" with a positive CLICK in either direction
NO cracks to the body
Solder terminals to the rear (clean)
TESTING:
Checked the smoothness of physical operation of the paddle and the electrical characteristics of the switch (between poles/open circuit insulation resistance and closed resistance) - all is fine.
If I was to note any differences between the switches I have available, one switch has a tendency to be more "reluctant" to switch over i.e slightly more force is required - this switch still works fine but there is a slight tactile difference.
I have now packed these into sealed clear plastic packets ready for a new owner!
