SWITCH TYPE:
Each switch has 2x contacts (SPST) which are both isolated from each other AND electrically operate in reverse to each other. This means that in one switch position, when one set of contacts is closed, the other set of contacts are open - and vice versa. Both sets of contacts for each slide switch have no electrical connection with it's "partner" set of contacts.
The top clear plastic cover is "snap on" (and not too difficult to remove) protecting against the ingress of environmental dust AND reducing accidental changing of the switch settings.
DIMENSIONS:
Looks just like an ordinary 8 pin DIL IC and could be inserted into a standard (not the narrow type) IC socket - same pin pitch
